Prof Giuseppe Battaglia’s key research area is in the development and characterisation of water-borne nanometer-sized structures and their interactions with live cells/tissues. This involves the synthesis, the physical characterisation and the evaluation of such novel systems for applications such as: gene and drug delivery systems, tissue engineering and stem cell engineering, and diagnostic devices.
